When I introduced packages and memberships, everything changed.

My diary became more predictable, with repeat bookings already secured.
Sales conversations became easier, because instead of “selling” I was simply matching solutions to goals.
It is much more easier to give your clients the ‘most expensive package’ and then down sell to what is affordable for them (or payment plans) then it is trying to ‘upsell’.
It is harder to upsell in each appointment as your client is already budgeting for the appointment.
Think of it this way: single sessions are a quick fix. Packages and memberships are a pathway to long term, loyal clients.
Optimising Consultations to Sell Packages
So, how do you move from one-off sales to recurring revenue—without feeling pushy?
It comes back to your consultation flow.
Here’s how to do it:
Uncover the Goal – Ask: “What would you love to see change in the next 3–6 months?” This shifts the focus from a one-time fix to a long-term vision.
Educate – Share why lasting results need consistency, not one-offs. (Clients respect professionals who tell them the truth, not just what’s easy to hear.)
Position Packages as the Solution – Instead of “upselling,” frame packages as the best route to their goal.
Introduce Memberships as a Lifestyle Choice – For clients who want ongoing care, memberships keep results maintained and give them the VIP feeling of being looked after year-round.

When your consultation is about the client’s bigger picture—not just today’s treatment—they naturally see the value in committing.
It’s no longer about selling more. It’s about supporting them better.
